TRAVELLING TO KO LANTA
Ko Lanta is easy accesable eventhough it is an island. There are passenger ferries heading to Ko Lanta from the North like Phuket, Phi Phi, Aonang, Railey, Krabi, Ko Jum or from the South of Thailand like Ko Mook, Ko Kradan, Ko Ngai, Ko Bulon, Ko Lipe, Langkawi. The ferries even run in low season about every second day.
If you arrive by road then you have to cross with a car ferry from the mainland (Hua Hin) to Ko Lanta Noi. The ferry runs about every 15 minutes from 6am until 10pm. From Ko Lanta Noi to Ko Lanta Yai there is a bridge since April 2016.
FROM KRABI AIRPORT
Private Transfer from Krabi Airport means a designated driver at the arrival hall. The trip takes around 2 hours and the price is 2'500 THB/car (max. 6 people including luggage).
Alternatively, one can arrive by public transport which includes a Shuttlebus from the airport to Krabi Town and then a Minibus to Ko Lanta. The trip takes about 3-4 hours and costs around 500 THB/person.
FROM AONANG/KRABI
Private Transfer from Aonang means a designated driver from the hotel in Aonang to the resort here on Ko Lanta. The trip takes around 2.5 hours and the price is 3'000 THB/car (max. 6 people including luggage).
Otherwise there is a passenger ferry from Aonang/Railey or Krabi Town which will bring you to the Saladan Ferry Pier. The trip takes about 2 hours and costs around 400-450 THB/person. A Tuk-Tuk (Motorbike-Taxi) will bring you from Saladan to your final destination (don‘t forget to negotiate the price before getting on).
FROM PHUKET
Private Transfer from Phuket or Phuket Airport means a designated driver from the hotel or arrival hall to the resort here on Ko Lanta. The trip takes around 5 hours and the price is around 5'000 THB/car (max. 6 people including luggage).
Otherwise there is a passenger ferry from Phuket which will bring you to the Saladan Ferry Pier, after changing boats in Phi Phi. The trip takes about 4 hours and costs around 1'000 THB/person. A Tuk-Tuk (Motorbike-Taxi) will bring you from Saladan to your final destination (don‘t forget to negotiate the price before getting on).
Nowadays, there are even Speedboat transfers to and from Phuket. The trip takes around 1.5 hours and prices vary between 1'500-2'000 THB/person.
